Join us for a free online gathering, in partnership with Tony Cealy. The Intergenerational Forum is an informal space for arts & wellbeing providers to meet and share ideas around developing intergenerational practice in their services.
The session will be led by Tony Cealy, theatre practitioner and cultural producer. Tony is passionate about developing policy solutions alongside people most affected by them.
During the session, Tony will talk through some of the learning, experience and understanding he has developed on projects and programmes he has collaborated with in what he calls ‘messy communities’.
He hopes that by tuning in to his experience and sharing in discussion, participants will feel inspired to go and take their own ideas and knowledge of their own communities and turn them into meaningful activities.
About the Intergenerational Forum:
This forum is an informal space for peer sharing and learning. We meet quarterly and anyone who is interested in developing their intergenerational practice is very welcome to join!
This forum is for arts and wellbeing providers who want to:
- reflect on learnings from intergenerational projects
- celebrate the successes
- discuss the challenges
- meet other people interested in sharing & developing intergenerational practice in their work
- and discuss ideas for how we can create more opportunities for intergenerational connections going forward.
Join us to share ideas, refine your intergenerational practices and meet other progressive people who are striving to innovate and excel in services for older and younger people.
About Tony Cealy:
Tony Cealy uses drama and theatre tools to create dialogue about social, economic and political concerns. He collaborates with grassroots groups, charitable, community organisations and the wider voluntary community sector to provide creative programmes, projects and events that support people to live with the uncertainty and complexity that surrounds them. Out of these partnerships and collaborations he co-designs a range of community led workshops and participatory interactive performances that are about empowerment and social change.
