Intergenerational Forum: The Essential ‘A’s of Intergenerational Experience

Join us for a free online gathering, in partnership with The Together Project, an informal space for arts & wellbeing providers to meet and share ideas around developing intergenerational practice in their services.

The session will be led by Alexa Sutheran (Head of Operations) and Nadja Ranes (Programme Manager) at The Together Project – the national charity that boosts wellbeing, reduces loneliness and fosters stronger, happier communities through multi-age friendships.

During the session, The Together Project will talk through some of the learning, experience and understanding we have developed in the 7 years of building and growing an intergenerational charity.

We hope that by listening to our experience and sharing in discussion, participants will feel inspired to go and take their own ideas and knowledge of their own communities and turn them into meaningful activity.

About the Intergenerational Forum:

This forum is an informal space for peer sharing and learning. We meet quarterly and anyone who is interested in developing their intergenerational practice is very welcome to join!

This forum is for arts and wellbeing providers who want to:

  • reflect on learnings from intergenerational projects
  • celebrate the successes
  • discuss the challenges
  • meet other people interested in sharing & developing intergenerational practice in their work
  • and discuss ideas for how we can create more opportunities for intergenerational connections going forward.

Join us to share ideas, refine your intergenerational practices and meet other progressive people who are striving to innovate and excel in services for older and younger people.

About The Together Project:

The Together Project is the national charity that boosts wellbeing, reduces loneliness and fosters stronger, happier communities through joyful intergenerational experiences. We design joy-filled creative activities that are rolled out at scale to reach as much of the UK as possible. Each activity brings together at least two different age groups who might not normally come into regular contact, with a focus on fun and friendship.
