Flourishing Lives Launches as Independent Charity

We are delighted to announce that Flourishing Lives has officially been established as an independent Charitable Incorporated Organisation.

After five fantastic years operating as a project under the governance of the Claremont Project in Islington, Flourishing Lives is now an independent charity (registered charity no. 1195193).

We are immensely grateful to the Claremont Project’s CEO, Lucien-Paul Stanfield, for creating the original vision for Flourishing Lives and instigating the work, and to the Board, team and members of the Claremont Project for all of their support as we have developed the coalition. We look forward to continuing to work closely with the Claremont Project as the founding members of the coalition.

The Flourishing Lives team of David McDonagh (Programme Director) and Cordelia Wyche (Head of Engagement) will continue to develop the organisation and expand our programmes, and we are excited about continuing to work alongside all of our amazing coalition partners as we share learning and best practice and take a creative, relational approach to supporting richer, more independent lives for older people.

We are delighted to share that we have received funding from The National Lottery Community Fund to continue our work over the next three years, and we are grateful to Reaching Communities England for the difference the funding will make to both our network and our wider communities, supporting opportunities to further develop and showcase the exceptional work being done across arts, health and Creative Ageing for the benefit of older people.

Thanks again to our coalition partner organisations for all your support and we look forward to connecting and working with you over the coming year!
