'Creating Inclusive Artspaces for Older LGBTQ+ People' - Resources

Resources from our 'Creating Inclusive Artspaces for Older LGBTQ+ People' workshop

Delivered in partnership with Pride UK Training and Consultancy and the Flourishing Lives Advisory Group (FLAG), the workshop: helped participants understand the very different lives experienced by many older LGBTQ+ people; gave examples of research, training, and accreditation available to strengthen development of inclusive LGBTQ+ art spaces; and shared information and resources to help reach out to the LGBTQ+ community more confidently and build relationships with LGBTQ+ arts organisations in order to influence change for the better.

Here are the resources that were shared during the session:

  • The shared notes and resources from the session, including a ‘Building LGBTQ+ inclusion in the arts’ checklist, an arts organisation case study, and links to research and training providers and collaborative LGBTQ+ organisations.
  • Many thanks again to the Pride UK team for kindly collating and sharing these resources.

Huge thanks again to Beverley Smith, Jim Glennon and Suzanna Hopwood from Pride UK for sharing their knowledge and expertise, and for all of their invaluable help in delivering the workshop. We are also very grateful to the members of our Flourishing Lives Advisory Group (FLAG) for all of their help in bringing the session together.
