Join us for a free online workshop, in partnership with InCommon. The Intergenerational Forum is an informal space for arts & wellbeing providers to meet and share ideas around developing intergenerational practice in their services.
What does it mean to have a truly intergenerational board and why is it important? Join intergenerational charity, InCommon and members of their intergenerational social action board for a co-led session that explores the making of the board and the impact they’ve had on the charity.
We’ll delve into the purpose of the board and how they’ve embedded members’ feedback to create a better experience moving forward. The board members will then share their personal experiences of being part of an intergenerational board and their advice to other organisations who are interested in doing the same.
The session will be co-led by Amber Newlands (Programme Officer) from InCommon, alongside members of their intergenerational social action board.
Please note: this session will be taking place at a later time than our usual Intergenerational Forum sessions, to make sure that the younger members of InCommon’s intergenerational board can take part, and we’re really looking forward to hearing from them! Future sessions of our Intergenerational Forum will return to the usual, earlier timeslot.
About the Intergenerational Forum:
This forum is an informal space for peer sharing and learning. We meet three times a year and anyone who is interested in developing their intergenerational practice is very welcome to join!
This forum is for arts and wellbeing providers who want to:
- reflect on learnings from intergenerational projects
- celebrate the successes
- discuss the challenges
- meet other people interested in sharing & developing intergenerational practice in their work
- and discuss ideas for how we can create more opportunities for intergenerational connections going forward.
Join us to share ideas, refine your intergenerational practices and meet other progressive people who are striving to innovate and excel in services for older and younger people.
