Board of Trustees

Maggy Pigott CBE FRSA (Age Activist Trustee)
Maggy, a barrister, enjoyed a 37-year Civil Service career, job-sharing for 23 years. She received a CBE for her contribution to the administration of justice and flexible working. In retirement, Maggy discovered a love of dancing and writing and a growing interest in what makes for a healthier and happier later life. At 68 her first book ‘How to Age Joyfully: Eight Steps to a Happier, Fuller Life’ was published. Maggy was a Trustee of the charity Open Age for nine years (seven years as Board Vice Chair), and other voluntary roles have included six years as an Independent Member on the Public Service Honours Committee. Currently Maggy is serving as a National Assessor for The Kings Award for Voluntary Service.
Given her passions and age (in her 70s), she is delighted to join the Board as an Age Activist Trustee. Maggy is married with two children, and lives in London. [LinkedIn: Maggy Pigott CBE FRSA.
