Chickenshed is an inclusive theatre company that first began in 1974. Primarily based at our own purpose-built venue in North London, we create theatre for all ages and run successful outreach projects, education courses and membership programmes throughout the year.
We are also a registered charity and rely heavily on the generous support of individuals, companies, trusts and foundations in order to continue our pioneering work.
Workshops for Adults
We regularly run performance workshops out of both our and bases. All events currently available to book will be listed below, but do let us know if you would like to hear about new projects as they are confirmed.
The Chickenshed Community Choir is a uniquely inclusive environment to develop your singing skills as part of an ensemble through a fantastic series of vocal sessions.
During the workshop you will learn and help to develop vocal arrangements for a wonderful mix of songs arranged with a Chickenshed twist! Each week choir members have the opportunity to gain skills, confidence and a deeper understanding of how different voices can work together. To put your new found skills into practise, there will be ample opportunities to perform throughout the year!
No previous participation, experience or an ability to read music is required – all you need is an interest in singing and plenty of enthusiasm!
Dates: Wednesdays: 5 Sep – 17 Oct (excluding Wednesday 19 Sept)
Time: 6.30pm (2hrs)
Tickets: £7.50 per session
Watch this Space
A series of workshops through the year beginning in autumn 2018.
Are you a baby boomer from the original protest generation, a millennial or a snowflake? Whatever label has been attached to you and your generation Watch This Space will celebrate and challenge our perceptions of each other through a series of theatre workshops.
Continuing on from the success of Chickenshed’s The Space Between Us project these workshops will be aimed at anyone from 18 upwards who would like to work with an intergenerational group, exploring performance skills and theatre-making devices. Watch This Space will announce its sessions directly, all you need to do is register your interest and then ‘watch this space’!
