Reflective Practice

We offer group and one-to-one reflective practice sessions, led by trained counsellors, providing arts and wellbeing practitioners with a vital structure for emotional support and in-depth reflection on working practice.

The sessions offer a framework of personal and professional development for arts and wellbeing providers and increase resilience in service provision, providing practitioners with a fundamental structure of support and reflective practice that helps to:

  • safeguard their wellbeing
  • sustain and grow their working practice
  • and develop a more robust foundation of support for the people who engage with their services.

We offer a range of low-cost sessions, including:

  • open access group sessions for individual and freelance artists and arts practitioners
  • bespoke group sessions for teams and organisations
  • and one-to-one sessions for individual practitioners and facilitators working in arts and wellbeing settings.

Please do contact david@flourishinglives.org if you would like to book group or one-to-one sessions for your team, or individuals working with your organisation.

The dates and registration links for our regular open access groups can be found below.

About our Groups

This is such a challenging time for people working in community arts and wellbeing services, as we strive to support the socially-isolated members of our community.

We know how much pressure you are facing so are now providing open access online reflective practice groups for arts, health and wellbeing practitioners. From discussions with you we realise how strong the need for support is – and we want to support you.

Our reflective practice groups offer support and a space to explore and learn with other practitioners working in arts, health and wellbeing settings.

Maybe you work in a day centre, an arts organisation, a clinical setting, outreach initiative or in freelance community arts – everyone is welcome. We recognise how complex your roles can be and we feel that a non-judgemental place outside of work can be a really useful place to unravel your thoughts and reflections on the challenges you face and your successes.

They are online groups of up to 8 practitioners and are led by trained facilitators and counsellors. The sessions run for two hours and cost £15 per person.

We want to run these groups in a way that suits you and we value your feedback, so if there’s something stopping you from attending, such as the time or cost, please let us know.

Dates

The dates of our Autumn/Winter 2023 open access sessions will be publicised here soon.
