Safeguarding Adults

All of us have a role in keeping people safe, but particularly staff and volunteers who work directly with adults or children.

Whilst safeguarding is generally first and foremost associated with working with children, it is also important to have a policy for adults who can equally be subject to abuse, neglect and exploitation.

Attached are documents that offer guidance on developing a policy, a policy template, template webpage text, Care Act terminology and an article written by Rebecca Cooney on Why all charities need a policy on safeguarding as featured in Third Sector News.

If you would like the Word Document version of either of the templates please do get in touch with the Flourishing Lives team.

With thanks to the Prevention Team at Islington Council who provided the documents.
